Intelligent Navigation - Important features for mobile, flexible and customized mobility services
Movea Trafikkonsult AB has been commissioned by the SRA (now Transport Authority) initiated a research project that will ensure opportunities to improve road user information (radio, traffic information screens, GPS) in the car. The project has started with a feasibility study and a problem inventory. The inventory shows that there are opportunities to make real-time information more effectively through improvements in data collection, dissemination of data and road user ability to understand and use data. The future work will therefore focus on analyzing the subsystems and their ability to interact better. The goal is to understand how users actually use the new services and how this in turn affects their behaviour in Route Choice and driving in traffic.
